Free online CSV/TSV/JSON/Markdown format converter with custom delimiter and header options.
TL;DR: Free online CSV/TSV/JSON/Markdown format converter. RFC 4180-compliant quoting and newline handling, custom delimiters and header options, runs locally with no data leakage.
For local tools, open DevTools → Network and search your input — it should not appear in requests.
Usage Guide
Convert CSV↔TSV locally with optional custom delimiters.
1. Use
Confirm source delimiter, convert, spot-check special fields.
2. Custom
Pipes, semicolons, and cleaned space tables — pick deliberately.
3. Logic
Delimiters must be rare or quoted; conversion cannot unsplit bad columns.
4. Clipboard
Excel paste is often TSV; watch trailing tabs.
5. Next
Visualize or CSV→SQL; no type inference here.
6. Accept
Stable rows/columns and round-trip paste.
FAQ
CSV, TSV, and JSON are all valid inputs, with output as CSV, TSV, JSON, or a Markdown table; delimiters and header settings are configurable.
No. The tool fully follows RFC 4180: fields containing delimiters, newlines, or quotes are automatically wrapped in double quotes, and quotes inside a field are escaped as two consecutive quotes, so cell semantics stay intact.
Yes, delimiters are customizable: pipes show up in log exports, semicolons in European Excel, and multi-space pseudo-tables need their whitespace normalized into a single separator first. Picking the wrong delimiter produces output that looks converted but has shifted columns. This page handles delimiter dialects only — no type inference.
You can, but Excel copies are usually TSV, so confirm the source delimiter first; trailing tabs create phantom columns, so check that the first three rows agree on column count before converting. Also, do not assume a table copied from a web page is CSV. Columns that were already split wrong cannot be fixed by converting.
No cloud involved — conversion happens in the browser, so file content never leaves your device.
